Jack takes two (2) bites of the chili Gabriel made and his face starts turning ridiculously red. He looks like he’s gone for a five-mile run in 100-degree weather. Gabe asks if he’s ok. Jack just nods and takes another bite of chili. Tears start pouring out of his eyes and he’s trembling. Gabe takes the chili away from him and hands him some bread. Jack bites into it and it tastes like ash to him.
…just wait for the morning after.
it always burns twice.
