Don’t mean to bother you, but I love your writing and I was wondering if you have any tips on point of view because I think you’re really good at it. It’s the most difficult part of writing for me, I never know what to use and I always accidentally switch a lot. Thank you!

hmmmm… generally I would steer clear of the 2nd and 1st person since that’s always an icky subject with a lot of people.

other than that, I am not entirely sure what to tell you. choose the person you think might be more interesting to talk through, or even easier to do so. You don’t need to force yourself through a perspective that’s difficult to write, sometimes the other one will feel better because you can relate to that character more.

And if you feel yourself switching, maybe take a step back and re-evaluate whether that maybe happened because the other char is actually the better POV.

however, I usually don’t take it too strict with the POV. Sometimes it’s nice to let the thoughts of another char trickle in without them totally taking over the narrative.

Also another trick would be to just write a part in one char’s POV and then have a little time jump and write the next part in the other person’s POV. you don’t need to shackle yourself, writing should be fun. Don’t make it harder than it needs to be
