Hi! I just saw a rat post and it reminded me… I’ve always wanted rats but I tend to listen to music REALLY loud and x years ago I read that rats don’t like/can die from loud noises. I gave up after reading it and never actually looked it up. You have rat knowledge. How does loud music go with rats??

I mean… I don‘t think they are different to other animals in that regard. I don‘t think they would particularly enjoy super loud stuff. I don‘t think that the noise level per se would kill them but the stress level would definitely be very high. If you can have the cage in a separate room where the noise would be in a normal range I don‘t see a problem… but having them in the same room would not be advisable imho
