cyber as an american who’s had really good european chocolate when i was in italy recently i must let you know that hershey’s is fucking. disgusting. in my entire life i have never liked it. american chocolate sucks and imo reese’s is the only exception. i’m sorry you don’t always have peanut butter though, here it’s pretty common to just. eat spoonfuls straight from the jar!!

well I wouldn’t probably eat spoonfuls but I would def be all over every treat that has some in it :’ )

Ah, the chewy stuff is called taffy; I love Taffy. America is more of a chocolate kind of place rather than chewy since Hershey’s is in Pennsylvania.

ooohh for some reason I always thought of caramel when I heard taffy. good to know! I think we have Hershey’s kisses here… I don’t even know… I think I gotta compile a list for the next time my brother flies to the US haha

I used to work at Hershey’s, and let me tell you, regular strawberry Twizzlers are all that good. But they have a fruit punch kind and a tropical punch kind that are literally so amazing. As for Reese’s, Reese’s are life. Especially the ones with the candy inside them. 10/10 recommend What kinda of snacks do you have that are different from American snacks? I used to meet a lot of people at my job that came from all around the work and told me about candy from their country, so I’m curious.

hmmm … I guess we have a lot of chewy stuff… I don’t even know the English term. Like not bubble gum but stuff that you chew and swallow down. We are also very big on salty snacks.

Ah! I guess you could say we are ‘famous’ for gummy bears and all that jazz? Haribo is from Germany after all.

today I got my hands on the loot that my brother brought over from America for me and so I ate a few snacks for the first time

Cheetos: SO TASTY!!! he brought some with like jalapeno taste and cheddar and they are sooo good; got something similar here but not that tasty/with interesting flavors

Twizzlers: kinda ok? he brought low-fat strawberry ones. I like strawberry but they had like very little taste/sweetness overall; probably because they are low fat; got something similar here that are more my style

Milk Duds: tasty! we got something very similar here tho; just a different shape

Pop-Tarts: strawberry filling. they’re not bad but not my fav snack either. Too sweet for my tastes; we got nothing similar as far as I know

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups: Milk Chocolate and White chocolate. God I love them. They are SO TASTY!!!! I had them before already though so they were nothing new but definitely appreciated. We have NOTHING similar here! we only have regular peanut butter when there’s ‘America Days’ in a store here. Other than that we only have roasted peanuts; nothing wildly peanut flavored which is a shame because I love peanuts
