I mean, who knows about his Overwatch and/or Blackwatch days, but the Reaper getup is definitely designed to be intimidating. He looks terrifying coming right at you, between the death mask and the over-exaggerated figure, and I can’t help but think that was the point, even if there’s personal symbolism involved — or we tease him for being an overdramatic edge lord in the fandom, haha. Psyching someone out isn’t exactly going to hurt you in combat. Winston’s “you’re not so scary” supports too.

I was thinking about how soft and fluffy Gabe’s hair would probably be if he let it grow, and then realized that he probably doesn’t because pretty, fluffy curls aren’t intimidating, or considered all that professional. And that’s probably something he doesn’t consciously consider (well, he probably does consider how he can make himself the scariest bastard around, the dork) so much as “it doesn’t fit my image,” but it was still a sad.

I don’t even know if he’d think about his image much. I would like to say he keeps it short out of practical/military reasons, but then again Jack’s hair is a stylish fuccboi length, so I dunno what they’re all about in the Overwatch verse lol

I cannot wait for your omo mccree fic. Like imagine Gabe wouldn’t let him go before the mission so he’s shaking & squirming the whole ride there, he’s super super desperate during the mission and is basically just looking for somewhere to piss but Gabe makes sure to stay near him, until he’s a whimpering and sobbing mess, he starts peeing himself while he’s still trying to hold on, and Peacekeeper isn’t spared from his accident as he drops it while he falls to his knees and pees everywhere.

I like to think Gabe has Jesse figured out from that point. And he’s just like, “kid, you’re fucking weird, you know that?” but he also makes a point to sort of indulge him some. (I can’t see him being super into it for its own merits, like, I see Reyes as the type of guy to know better than to be embarassed by bodily functions for long, given his line of work, but he does like seeing Jesse get all flustered and try not to cum in his pants when he starts to fidget).
