what’s your writing process like?

hmmm… I usually simply start writing. I have to start at the beginning because I can’t do the ‘write what you know and then fill in the gaps’ thing. if I hit a stride it’s good; if I don’t, I have to power through. if I hit a block I usually get up and walk into the living room and cuddle the dog or talk to my mom just to do/think something completely different for a few minutes. when I come back I usually re-read the last paragraph or so to check over grammar and get back into where I was

other than that… I just write until I’m bored with it or feel like I did a good chunk and deserve to relax :’ )
