I thought the creepy guy was maybe a brother/uncle/some soldier from her home castle that was a predator/bad touching, and that the experience/what she thought could happen impressed so much on her that she started seeing him everywhere as well as him actually following her. It looked like she was kinda starting to get mad from it to the point where she couldn’t discern anymore if he was the real thing this time or just her imagination.
