Because Mondatta deserves love too; the Shambali monks didn’t always have a rule about chastity because they were thought to be above such earthly concerns, but after a diplomatic visit from Reindhart, that changed. (I.e. Dick so bomb it knocked Mondatta straight out of the Iris)
