maybe it is supposed to show that he kinda feels a bit better now that he knows Genji is alive and maybe had more interactions with him; so he feels free to move forward out of his worn out tracks
(last anon here) like honestly hanzo’s whole character is rooted in exaggerated japanese tradition and honor, and this design is just so out of place… i wasn’t even sure it was hanzo at first. idk what drugs the artist did when they did that panel but…
