The way you talk about Guzma, I feel like he’d be just a noisier version of your sub!Gabe (in the best way). Needs someone gentle yet firm to knock him on his ass from things he’s been through. But just the sweetest thing once you do (probably babble mindlessly in contentment).

I could definitely see that! I was thinking of Gabe as well, only that Gabe is very introvert in his way and Guzma is just. constantly babbling and making snide comments and shit.

Kukui and Hala would be very indulgent with him and just ignore his barbs. Nanu would probably discipline him in very underhanded ways that really hit home hard; like ignoring him or gagging him. It would take Guzma a while to not react with loathing and tantrums because he always takes these things very much too heart and doesn’t like being criticized.
