Can I ask what you like about hugo? Like, he’s the only dad I didn’t connection with at all. I found him horribly boring n his thing for wrestling felt so awkward n random n like “look,he’s a teacher but oooh he has a cool side too which he is suoer awkward about”. hmmm I dunno it’s just hose things that make him super endearing to me. I didn’t feel like it was a thing to make him seem cool, but just another v awkward nerdy thing because he is just SO into it and knows everything and does these detailed posts about it on those forums.

He just seemed very… childlike in that regard? like just very earnest and nervous that he will get ridiculed because obvs his son is just giving him the shit every time of the day. Even as a grown man that will wear on you after a time.
