naw don’t feel silly. it’s all good, right? we need peeps in all fields. you shouldn’t feel bad for what you work as. Nobody should feel bad for what they do in general. now that you don’t get a job because of your gender, that’s shitty and I wish you the best of luck to soon get one anyway

FRC gives teams a game to play on Jan 7, but all they know prior to that is the name (this year is STEAMworks). Then they get six weeks to build a robot to play that game, then go to competition. Matches are two minutes long and hella intense.

30, male, a FIRST Robotics Competition judge/referee, but normally I’m a mechanical engineer at Boeing. FRC season starts Jan 7 and I highly recommend watching your local comp in March. It’s impressive what those kids put together in six weeks.

When I was younger I enjoyed watching those robot fights. I don’t even know anymore what the show was called… but I imagine this is something similar? where they show off inventions? that’s so interesting!
