I wonder if you ever followed the game development of Breeding Season. Seems like it would’ve interested you. (It got cancelled due to horrid mismanagement but I think the main Artist is working on something similar and you can still find a lot of assets from the game and the artists.)

everything with film and animation is so interesting to me. I just love it so much and it has to be stupidly complicated to get everything right on a 3D aspect. look at it for hours on end, rotate it this way and that to make sure that it doesn’t look good from one side and like poop from the other.
