They don’t get it cause he’s big and scary and doesn’t want anything to do with them so why this?….but maybe he starts to open up. Little steps. Doesn’t leave the room when they wander in after heat. Stays on the couch when they curl up on the far side. Weeks and months of inching closer. Sometimes making him mad or scaring him off. Maybe only getting as close as touching knees, but that’s enough
